Wait a Minute

That's what they say about the weather around here. If you don't like it...wait a minute. Yesterday it was almost 70 degrees and I had all the windows open. It's been warm but very gloomy. It's been raining for four days straight and the place is a muddy mess but look what showed up next to the wood pile yesterday morning.

Out of the blue we're all of a sudden being warned today could be interesting. 8 inches of snow? You've got to be kidding.

Our devices have been blowing up all day with warnings. The Mister went into high gear getting ready. He even dug out my old snowman from the shed. It's been so warm we didn't even sit him out for Christmas this year. It seemed wrong.

This may be a little too optimistic.

Well, I guess my new winter puzzle showed up just in time. If I'm going to be snowed in for a few days I might as well have something to do.

  1. We were supposed to get 13 inches and instead we ended up with 2 1/2 but for such a small amount, it sure caused a LOT of problems. Actually, to be fair, the snow probably didn't cause the problems, it was the ice that accumulated UNDER the snow first. Lots of cars off the road. And a worse day for it was impossible. New Years Eve for the ice and New Years Day for the snow. Drinking and ice is not a good combination for driving.
I hope you get your snow with NO ice and you get out and enjoy it with the toys.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  3. Same here, but no snow yet. Originally my weather app said it could start during the night...but nothing. It is definitely colder though. Brrrrr

  4. We had snow on Saturday but not as much as they had forecasted. Luckily, my oldest son loves to shovel! Good for me!
    Stay safe and warm!

  5. Our son (Ashburn, VA) got quite a bit of snow overnight. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get some to sled on.

  7. I’ve been watching your storm work it’s way across the map. I hope you’ll be able to use the shovel and the sleds!
