Wednesday WIPs

I bet you're as tired of looking at these socks as I am of knitting them. I'm halfway to the toe and I swear I pick them up everyday but they don't seem to be getting anywhere. They've fallen into that black hole of knitting that things fall into from time to time and there's nothing to do but wait it out. It will pass.

When I need some instant gratification I pick up the mini Advent sweaters to work on. Number 12 is about to be a done deal if I can apply myself to that long ribbed neck.

I should be farther along on the Fright Club mitt but I had a very interesting experience with it the other night. I kept knitting and ripping and knitting and ripping the section I am working on now over and over and over and I could never get the pattern to come out right. I was about to give up when I noticed.....I HAD THE PATTERN UPSIDE DOWN. Yeah, I did that. I just had to laugh.

  1. Oh boy! I've never done that one but I can just imagine the frustration when you realized that the pattern was upside down. :-)
I've been there with socks. Sometimes it seems you knit for hours and measure them and they haven't changed. What's up with that?
    Love those teeny, tiny sweaters.
    Blessings,

  2. LOL - an upside-down pattern! Who would have guessed. Love your socks. The one (single one) I am knitting now seems to be taking forever. I guess it would help if I picked up my needles a little more often!

  3. I'm in sock limbo with the green pair-I've knit them too many times already!! lol Too funny about the pattern reading! We've been knitting long enough to catch on after the first time...but no, I guess not!

  4. My sock knitting has stalled again. It seems I can’t even force myself to pick up the needles and work on the second sock. I think it’s time to cast on something new.

  5. Knitting gremlins, they are undoing your knitting while you sleep. And turning your patterns upside down, apparently
