Tiny Needle Tuesday

Ta da!!! My Greenland Santa ornament is finally finished-the stitching part anyway. I started it in the fall of 2016 so it's been...6 years. No one can ever accuse me of rushing through things.

He's only one of four that I have. Next up is Lapland Santa. If they all take me 6 years to complete then I'll be....well, let's just say not among the living. I'd rather not do the math anymore.

AND....I finally finished the Little Sheep Sampler. I started this one in 2017.The pattern is from two torn out pages from Cross Stitch Magazine I bought from someone somewhere on the internet for a couple of dollars.

AND FINALLY.....after spending more time this week looking for needles that I dropped than actually stitching, I bought myself my very first needle minder set. I have some really bad stitching habits that include sticking the needle in my mouth. Dad used to always fuss at me about how dangerous that was. Hopefully now my obituary won't include death by stitching.

  1. I have the same bad habit...the Santa ornament is beautiful-looks like an old family treasure already. I like the raccoon-he is sassy! By most accounts, death when you have MS comes 7 years earlier than the average lifespan so that means I have about 7 years left. Sobering thought.

  2. Oh, I'm another one who sticks needles (and pins) in my mouth. Love your finished Santa - congratulations! And yay for the finished sheep. The raccoon is just darling.

  3. I had forgotten all about that Santa you were stitching! I like the new one too. You'll get it done quickly. The Little Sheep Sampler is so sweet. Anything with sheep on it has me as you well know.
I know how you feel about the needle minder. I bought my first one about a year ago. I was always losing needles or putting them in my mouth. Having a little puppy who eats everything convinced me that I didn't want to be dropping any where she could get it.
    Take care my friend.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
