Big Needle Wednesday

I've got a FO in this pile. The first red/gray Hawthorne is done.

I've also got a worry. The stripy man socks are at the toe and I've only got this much yarn left. I hate to play yarn chicken but that's what I'm going to have to do. Ugh.

I've finished a pattern repeat on both the shawl and the scarf. The wispy green scarf is on borrowed time. As soon as I get the fall bug it's getting packed up. I've got some other fall projects in time out that will take its place.

Here is today's kitten photo. She's playing Miss Snooperviser while I work on my stitching projects by the window. She's getting more and more comfortable with me since she discovered I'm her food source. She can beg and whine with the best of them now. They do grow up fast.

  2. That is the sweetest picture of Miss Snooperviser!
I really like the yarn in your Man socks. Keeping my fingers crossed for you in playing yarn chicken. And finally, did you tell us the pattern for the shawl? I think it's beautiful.
    Happy Wednesday!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  3. Seeing all your sock progress is making me realize I don't have a single sock project going at the moment. I'm going to have to remedy that ASAP. LOL You've inspired me and I love that little pink kitty nose!

  5. You could tip the toes in a contrast colour.

  6. Hope you have enough yarn for those toes. I think you do; toes don't use up that much. Emi is so cute! Animals are so funny about their food source. I was visiting my son yesterday and noticed his dog's water bowl was empty. I filled it and the dog's demeanor towards me completely changed. Actually, it seemed to freak him out a little that someone besides Mom or Dad had filled it. LOL

  7. Don't worry about the toes on the socks... if you run out, just raid your scraps for something in a matching colour to make those toes!. It happened to me on a pair of socks I was making Dave. They were brown and gold with touches of blue. So I finished the toes in a semi-solid blue and they looked great! Dave thought it was awesome.

Miss Kitten is so sweet! I'm going to miss her when you go home!

  8. That kitten is adorable! Love all those socks, too. And like Dee, I think you're going to make it just fine with the toes. Hope so anyway, if not you can do what Cheryl suggested, right?
