The Mister went last year and convinced me I needed to go this year so we walked on down.
I don't eat meat so there's usually not much for me to eat at events like this.
The paella looked so good but I don't do seafood anymore either.
There was an artist who was making art out of goldfish crackers and rice cakes. I have no idea why anyone would need food art but there you have it.
There was a wildlife trailer that had lots of bay critters to look at....
....and a real live mermaid telling stories to the kiddies.
I might not have found anything to eat but I did find a new project bag. The Mister filled it with free samples before we called it a day. We had fun but that long walk home was brutal. We're not as young as we used to be.
That bag! I love it. It looks like a great time at the beach. I didn't realize you didn't eat seafood either. And you live in such a great place for seafood. I had my very first lobster roll ever in a little restaurant in Annapolis down by the water by the Naval Academy. I fell in love with Lobster rolls that day but have never found another one anywhere near us. I'm glad you ventured out.

I think you may well have found the best thing at the festival in spite of the amazing food on offer -- that bag is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun adventure with a good assortment of food trucks. Love the new project bag!
ReplyDeleteFood art?! I guess it would be good for a table decoration at a party. Love the mermaid, and I bet the kiddos did as well.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that bag! I didn't realize you didn't eat meat. I've been toying with the idea of giving vegetarianism another try but I tend to replace the meat with crackers and Cheetos. Not exactly the healthy way to go. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable bag - that was definitely worth going for!
ReplyDeleteI love the mermaid storyteller too!
Still-what a nice afternoon!
ReplyDeleteGreat project bag!
