I didn't buy the May card kit so I've used the money for artsy supplies this month. I bought the Gelli Press that fits my new art journal along with some texture combs to play with.
The vendor wrapped it in this adorable tissue paper. I found it here on Etsy. Daughter's already ordered herself some. I am going to cut it up for a collage one day.
You have to use this special plastic like paper. This is going to be an adventure.
I also bought some painting supplies. I've become addicted to watching watercolor doodling You Tube videos and so, of course, had to have the same tools the artists use.
I can't watercolor worth beans so it's probably a lipstick on a pig situation here but I splurged on some good paint and a very pricey brush. As the saying goes...you can't take it with you-so I might as well have fun while I'm here, right?
Lots of fun new things. I have never heard of most of it so I’m looking forward to seeing what you do.

ReplyDeleteFun new supplies-paint along with the videos and you will be proficient in no time! (this by the lady who still watches tons of videos and has precious little practice time !)
ReplyDeleteDrooling over the porcelain petal palette!
I LOVE the kitty tissue paper!!! I've never heard of alcohol ink...
ReplyDeleteThe tissue paper is adorable! You are going to have fun experimenting with all the new supplies.
ReplyDeleteWell someone's in for some fun!!! And that kitty paper......sooooo cute!! Those paint supplies look amazing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Fun is what it is about! You deserve fun and when you are having fun it helps those around you too
ReplyDeleteI also love watercolors! And i bought 5 different types of colored pencils a couple of years ago, still not touched most of them. I thought expensive materials can draw themselves :)
ReplyDeleteYou may surprise yourself! But regardless, art should be fun, so have at it!
ReplyDeleteWatercolor is all about playing. It's never predictable, so jump in, just like the professionals!
ReplyDeleteI've used alcohol inks on polymer clay, but haven't tried it on yupo. Do share your experiments and hints!
