The End of the World as We Know It

Yesterday turned out to be one heck of a long day. We started out early by facing the insanity of the mall. I should have known better. Later, we took a trip to a local nursery for some holiday inspiration.

Homestead Gardens always puts on quite a show but we had to rush in and rush out because....

...I ended up spending the night in a hospital in Virginia.

To pass the time, I did a little of this.....

...and a little of that...

...while #2 Son tried to catch a few winks. Note he is still in his work suit. He got home the next morning just in time to hit the road for another day on the job. It was totally worth it though because....

We were the first to hold the little bundle of joy belonging to #1 Son and Dear Daughter in Law.

Introducing #1 Grandson who arrived very early on 12-21-12 proving that those Mayans didn't have a clue. Life certainly is going on and for my sweet little solstice baby's sake-I hope it goes on and on and on.
