I know my friends in the north who are inundated with snow and bitter cold at the moment won't appreciate this but it was 70 degrees here today. We went for a walk on the boardwalk and I was hot and couldn't wait to get home.
I should have dressed like all the folks that were taking advantage of the beach. I wasn't dressed for winter but my long sleeved tee shirt and jeans were too much under that bright sun. I had to take my wool socks off and leave them in the car.
Ahhhhh.....that's better. The cool sand felt wonderful and the water was chilly but not as chilly as I had expected. This kind of warm weather in the middle of winter usually means we have a blizzard on the way in the next week or so. We'll see.
WOW! I would take it. I would definitely take it. We had 12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours with more to come and frigid temperatures expected this week. Can I come visit you? lol . Enjoy it while you can.ReplyDelete
Crazy, huh? Colin texted me yesterday morning that he and Mailing were walking to breakfast and that he was wearing shorts!ReplyDelete
It was a nice little reprieve from the cold, but it sure did usher in some windy weather up this way.ReplyDelete
Saturday we were supposed to get a huge storm with freezing rain and wet snow. Instead, we got masses of regular rain and it was about 55F. The very next day... dry and sunny but 21F. Today we woke up to snow. The weather is so messed nowReplyDelete
Whoa, nice but also scary!ReplyDelete
Oh that looks like a vacation to me! You got a free vacation with no flights, no weather issues, no baggage! ! HoorayReplyDelete
What a nice break from January gloom!ReplyDelete
What a wonderful treat to have a beach day in January without wearing a jacket. It has been unseasonably warm here (70s also) but we have had quite a bit of rain. Unfortunately, with the warm days and moderate nights, the bugs are coming out.ReplyDelete
The weekend was beautiful here as well - it was a wonderful time to open up the house and air it out! Walking on the beach must have been great!ReplyDelete
What a nice day you had! I am totally jealous as we are probably 5 months away from 70 degrees:)ReplyDelete
We hit 73 three days ago... and snow is predicted this weekend and highs in the 20's next week. Crazy, crazy weather!ReplyDelete
