That's the view through my skylight. It rained all day yesterday. We were supposed to go the doggie Halloween parade. It was still on but we didn't feel like putting on rain gear to go. Pup would have hated it. She hates her raincoat so we gave it a pass. I had even bought her a costume. Oh, well. There's always next year.
I had been up all night with tummy troubles anyway. Why I thought it would be a good idea to buy a gallon of pumpkin ice cream is beyond me. I would have said it was worth it but at 3 am it certainly wasn't. I was just as happy to stay inside and do absolutely nothing. I had told myself on Friday I would give myself a news break. No internet just old movies but I made the mistake of peeking at Twitter at 10 am and well.....you know. Another day, another horror. Sigh.
We’re finally getting rain here too but it stopped long enough for us to go to the pumpkin patch today. I’m sorry you haven’t felt well. I hope today is much better for you.ReplyDelete
Never ending horrors and leadership not admitting to their vitriolic role in it all. A rainy day is the perfect time to take it easy and hide from the madness.ReplyDelete
Rainy days are perfect for being lazy and recharging, but sorry to hear you missed the Halloween parade.ReplyDelete
For me, buying even a half gallon of ice cream is not a good idea. Somehow, once the container is opened, my self-control diminishes. Hope you are having sunny skies today and have conquered the poison ivy!ReplyDelete
I hope your tummy troubles are settling.ReplyDelete
It's cold and rainy here. I've made good use of the time sewing and knitting. But I finally caved and turned on the heat - I got tired of constantly cold hands!
It is unfathomable how someone can hold so much hate in their heart that they would murder eleven people they didn't know. My heart breaks.ReplyDelete
Ive done the same think with ice cream. Ugh. So sorry. Our weather was WICKED today. No way was I walking in the 30 mph rainy winds. Mitten knitting got done. Pep talks were given.ReplyDelete
Down days with old movies are a good thing! You need a day without news to relax.ReplyDelete
