Blustery

Winter finally caught up with us so before we took Pup out for a walk I thought I'd make a hot breakfast. What I did was drop a brand new package of pricey fake bacon all over the floor. I threw a tantrum over my clumsiness and tossed it in the trash. As a rule I don't eat stuff off the floor but The Mister insisted I wash it off and cook it so I did. I confess I ate as much of it as he did.

My second attempt at wearing one of my Soldatnas went better than the first. No sneezies this time but itchies from the one that was made from Knit Pick's City Tweed. In spite of putting it over my many layers it was too itchy for me. I'm going to have to get myself a thick turtleneck before I can wear that one. This one that I knit from a kit was nice and soft. It should be. That's a $100 plus sweater right there.

It was cold and windy but we had a nice stroll around the empty parking lot at the water park down the street.

We cut through to the little marina on the other side. I've been trying to talk The Mister into a boat that we could just sit on. I saw a nice one for sale but he's not convinced it's something we need. Probably not.

Finally we took a stroll past city hall where the crab pot tree resides. It's not very fancy this year but everything is a little on the scaled back side. Understandable.

When we got home the porch was full of packages including one for me. I decided one little hot water bottle was enough so I ordered a full sized one for my feet now that winter is finally here.

  1. I'm glad that you were able to wear your sweater. It's just beautiful. It would be a shame to put so much work into something and not be able to wear it.
Your walk looks wonderful. It never got even to freezing today so I stayed inside. I don't like the cold. The older I get the more it seems to seep into my bones.
    Blessings,

  5. I would have washed the bacon too. :) Your sweater is so beautiful! I'm sorry to hear the other one is itchy. I've never thought of City Tweed as being the least bit itchy but then I've never used it for a sweater.
Looks like you had a beautiful walk, and yes! You do need a boat!
