We've been right in the center of two warring fronts. On Friday it gave me big headache on the left side of my head and on Saturday it did the same thing on the right. We missed out on all the big weather events this caused, the snow to the north and the flooding to the south but we got the howling wind and a rapid decline in temperature. My sinuses took a real beating.
We didn't work on cards. I didn't make masks. I sat in front of the TV watching old movies and knitting when I wan't napping. I got the next pair of Pairfects cast on. I'm doing them two at a time which meant a lot of winding and rewinding into two balls.
Pup's sweater got worked on much to her dismay. She hates wearing sweaters. We have to chase her around to get one on her.
In spite of feeling pretty awful I did enjoy all the holiday movies TCM ran yesterday. It had me thinking I could build a Christmas tree stand out of my pile of toilet paper and paper towels and add a little more holiday cheer to the remodeling shambles I am living in. If the city can build a tree out of crab pots I could surely build a tree out of paper products, right? I felt too awful to do it-but I'm still thinking about it.
And how about this? MDSW has already canceled for 2021. I get it. It's going to take a while longer for life to return to normal even after vaccines begin. I get it but it's still feels pretty dismal from here.
