Switching Stitching

I love stitching on this project but I hate setting it up on the Q Snap every time I get a few minutes to sit down.

I have a nice lap frame that I could keep it on all the time but it had another project on it. It's the kind of frame where you have to sew the ends on which is a pain but since I have all the time in the world now I went ahead and snipped it off to switch projects. It was a job.

There. Now I have it all out where I can get to it and stitch when I want without setting it all up over and over.

My teeny tiny nine patches are still slowly coming along. I can only handle a few minutes of this insanity at a time. I keep telling myself that slow but steady wins the race.

Then there is my poor apron. Every morning I wake up and say "this is the day I will make an apron" and then life gets in the way. Sigh. Who knew this isolation thing would be so hectic?

  1. I want to work on my cross stitch virtues but my back has been spasming since yesterday morning when I was stupid enough to think that I could sit at my sewing machine for half an hour. I can't sit up straight and have only knit 2 rows on my blanket. I'm hoping tomorrow is better because right now, I'm down for the count. Obviously those $3000 shots didn't do a thing to help.
I have a fram very similar to yours that I should get out and put my project on.
    Have a great Wednesday Debbie.
    Blessings,

  2. I've never used a frame...and don't like using a hoop. I prefer stitching in hand, but that's just my preference. Hectic isolation cracks me up!

  3. I tried not using a frame when I was up around the corner where I had very little material left but I just couldn't do it. I'm also now not able to use my quilting hoop on the edges of my rings quilt so I have to do without. I just can't seem to get my tension right without a hoop.

  4. I bet having your house in mid-reno doesn't help. That cross-stitching is amazing!

  5. I totally agree! I find I am trying to write friends, and text family and the days are flying by. But I'm grateful for that Deb!!! I love your stitching so much

  6. You’re steaming along on the sampler! I prefer the tautness of a hoop when stitching.

  7. I know what you mean .... with all the time in the world and not enough time all at the SAME time.

The cross stitch is BEAUTIFUL. I love seeing the bits and pieces come to life.

  8. All of your projects are just beautiful! I laughed at your comment "I have all the time in the world now". There are often times when I lose patience with how long something takes or the steps involved and stop and think "what else do I have to do?" Strange times.

  9. I really hated the q hoop when I tried it. I have a rubber circular hoop that I like a lot.

  11. Isolation does seem to be hectic! I started a swoncho a few days in and that is All I have done since. Dinner time rolls around and I'm so busy knitting I think it must be about noon. I went 6 days without even checking my email because I was too busy knitting. Good grief!
