Done!

I finally got my apron made. The Mister went out to rake imaginary things out of the lawn for a few hours and I took the opportunity to do some sewing.

It was a slog. I love wearing aprons but I hate making them. Right now I need a lot. I change mine every time I come in contact with something from the "outside" world like getting the mail or fetching the trash cans or recycling bins. It sounds crazy but there you have it.

I love it. It's a simple pattern I found on Connecting Threads. You just sew two pieces together and turn them right side out and then fold up the bottom for a pocket. Easy peasy pie but a lot of straight line sewing and top stitching that puts me to sleep.

I love this material. It's nice and heavy and feels like it will last. I hope so. I bet this thing will be washed many, many times before this insanity is over.

Maybe next week I can get this one done. It's from a collection I found at Walmart on clearance ages ago called La Vida Loca. The Crazy Life is right.  How perfect is that?

  10. I like wearing aprons too but I am Extremely picky about their fit and the feel of the fabric. My family laughs at me because I have THE ugliest Christmas one that I wear all the time because other than it's ugliness, it's perfect.
