Stay Calm and Tink On

As a rule I hate tinking back colorwork but I am finding it strangely relaxing. I don't have to think. I just have to move my fingers around and then wind the yarn back up. This I can do. I'll have this done in no time.

Speaking of done, the blue Lana Grossa socks are finished. I have to pat myself on the back for these. Matching that gradient blue was a BEAR. The color shift is so subtle I had to get out my lighted magnifying lens to find it. They ended up being pretty darn matchy matchy if I say so myself. They are pair #4 in the gift box. I'm way ahead of schedule this year.

Even though they reported our first county case yesterday, I made myself feel a lot better when I took an actual head count of what I had stored away for meals and organized all my dried bags of beans. I also pillaged the soap room where I have some edible oils and milk powder stashed away.  I should have enough to last a month if need be. It won't be good eats but there will be eats.

  1. Those socks are gorgeous! I really, really like the colors and the way they blend together. I can't imagine tinking back that beautiful sweater. It looks like it would be as difficult as knitting it.
I did the same with our groceries afer I went online today and realized the first grocery pickup I could do would be April 2! Oh my! We should be able to eat for a month too and I'm hoping stores will have some food back in them by then.
Wishing a peaceful night for you Debbie. Take care.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  2. Still no confirmed cases in the a County, but I’m sure it’s here. While I’d love more variety in my meals, I will avoid going out to shop or to a drive thru. Glad the tinking is going well.

  3. i like to make lists too. They always make me feel better. We are up over 100 cases in our area (within a 2-hour drive in any direction). I'm just hoping people start taking it seriously.

lovely socks. At least we always have our crafts.

  6. Good for you! We have four confirmed cases in our county but with the dang spring breakers partying on the beach who know how many we really have.

  7. Well we have 3 confirmed cases in our county . We are in a county of a lot of land . Madison and Milwaukee , of course, heavily populated, lead the way. Today was a day of burning wood and dropping off baby bird knit nests to the Fellow Mortals Rescue. Just a 6 mile trip down the road. Hung them outside their door. Im just now getting around to blog reads!! We were able to put in a grocery order to be picked up on Thursday.

  9. We are still grocery shopping but trying to limit it to once a week and mostly, my husband is the only one going since he already has to be out in the world for work. Honestly, I'm starting to think getting sick and going to the hospital might be nice - I'd have a different set of walls to look at. :)
I can't get over how well you matched those socks. Wow!!
