Auxiliary

I have projects and then I have projects. Some like knitting I do every day but others I only do when I'm in the mood. Spinning used to be a major project until I ran out of room in the stash bin. I finished the latest mini skein of green Targhee yesterday. Now I only have one more to go and the set is complete.

I also don't need any more dish cloths. My towel drawer runneth over but I still like making them. That's why weaving is an auxiliary project and that's why I take my sweet time getting anything done. I finished tying on the autumn towels and started weaving yesterday.

I've got one of the color pattern repeats done. I think I like it. The light green is interesting but I don't hate what it's doing with the beige.

The crewel project is another thing I juggle with little success. As much as I like to do it I just can't fit it in most days.

Then there is Miss Silvia. Auxiliary. I only get to my rug hooking projects once in a blue moon. It sits on its little frame on an end table like a decoration in my living room. That's why I change them with the season. I think Miss Silvia is adorable but even The Mister is asking where the Jack O Lantern is. I guess I need to pack her sweet little self up and get him out. I suppose it's time. Sigh.

  1. I sympathize! I have so many things I love but I don't get a ton done on any of them. I'm serious about doing only one project a day and maybe I will see more progress...

  2. The towel is gorgeous: I love the colors. Interesting to think of current projects as decorative accessories. That's something I've never considered.

  3. I absolutely love all of your weaving and this towels colors are wonderful. Also the spun set. The colors. WOW! I wouldn't be able to keep all of the projects straight. I think my only continuous project are the cozy memories squares. Otherwise I'm kind of OCD about starting and finishing projects. I admire you my friend.

  4. I admire your woven towels so much. It makes me want to get a loom, but I don't need another craft!

  5. The colors in all your projects are so pretty! Even though Jack O Lanter has not made its appearance, it still looks like fall with all those wonderful colors in your projects.

  7. Love all your projects, but I sure can relate. However, you may have even more projects in the work than I do which is most comforting to me. Thanks!
