Tiny Needle Tuesday

This is far as the Button Eyed Cat is going this year. I'm packing it up.

Same with the other Halloween project. This week I got a Jack O Lantern and half a kitty done at the top but then I ran out of thread. On Friday I will get the Sheep Virtues back out so I've still got plenty to keep me busy.

I finished the first of the Rose Star blocks.

Now I am working on another Dear Jane.

As for the kitchen remodel, here's the place where our island used to be. It's out in the driveway looking pretty sad. We will NOT be putting down tile again. We are not actually sure what we are putting down but it will most likely be the wood look stuff that every body seems to be using in kitchens these days. None of it will be done anytime soon. My bathroom took almost a year. This job most likely will take longer.

  1. Whoo-eee! You do like to tackle those big jobs don't you? Love all of your projects as usual. I finished a sock tonight and made 8 pair of mittens over the weekend. I also started a baby blanket tonight with a new pattern. I may rip it out. :-) Not enjoying it at all...yet.
    Blessings,

  2. Love all those little needleworks!

Dave redid his grandma's kitchen floor in a lovely grey vinyl plank floor and it looks amazing. Modern, but beautiful. And best of all it cleans up like a breeze (plus the grey hides a lot of dirt to begin with

  4. I had a laminated wood floor in my house (kitchen, too) and loved it!

Looking forward to your next projects. The rose star is a beauty.

  5. We're just starting some things that need to be done around the house that involve tearing out some wallboard :( Hoping to get it done before Christmas. That's all I'm saying about that.
Love all your tiny needle projects! I have one I'm working on for a Christmas present that is an enormous amount of "fill in" work but it's coming along, albeit slowly!

  6. I am sad to see your Halloween projects get packed away. I love both of them but am looking forward to seeing what you replace then with. Since I don't have to live in the work zone, it will be interesting to see your kitchen renovation. Sure it will be worth if once completed. You will probably say your only regret is that you didn't do it sooner.

  7. The disruption is a real bother but it will be beautiful after the remodel! (the only problem with diy is how long it takes....)
