Ahhhhh.....
We've finally got some seasonal weather. It's not chilly. It's pleasant. Not exactly cool but not blast furnace hot either. I could have a cup of hot tea instead of iced tea so it's a win in my book.
I've gotten all fired up about my fall projects again. I started a fall Almost Lost dishcloth.
I finished putting the fall towel on the loom and tied it on. Tomorrow I'll start weaving it.
I've sewn all the blocks onto the fall batik quilt. I am adding a white border. I've got one done.
I thought I had the fall table runner done. I machine quilted the last of it-the border but when I turned it over the bobbin thread had never caught so I did all that sewing for nothing. Oh, well. You can't win'em all. As nice as it was yesterday, nothing could have ruffled my feathers.
Boy, I wish I could bottle up some of our cold for you. Our furnace has been running non-stop since before we went to Omaha. The hight today was somewhere around 45F. I'm sick of cold already. It's plain crazy. Cold here and so hot there. Both unseasonable temperatures for the time of year.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cool!
Blessings,

Love your fall projects! Batic quilt is beautiful! Looking forward to the weaving progress. I am finally starting to weave my towels today, took me half a year to dress the loom :) Liana
ReplyDeleteSo glad you cut a break in weather! The projects keeping you busy are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFinally you have open windows and relief!!!!! I am so Happy for you Deb!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a break in the weather to ignite crafting mojo! Enjoy the cooler days and the fresh air.
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to step outside and not feel as if my breath had been taken away by awful heat! Happily sitting in my front "parlor" (it used to be the kitchen eating area but I've changed it into a little sitting room} looking at the trees!
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking to begin an Almost Lost washcloth, and now I'm going to get up and get the material to do it!
Your batik quilt is just beautiful! It is amazing how a simple design yields such a complex quilt top. The colors for the fall towel are just perfect for this time of the year. The cooler weather that arrived overnight is just awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe batik quilt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOur temperatures dropped almost 30 degrees over night - without a storm! What a Gorgeous weekend we're having. That batik quilt is just as gorgeous as our weather! Love the colors in the dish cloth too. I really do need to give that pattern a try. So sorry about the runner. It will be gorgeous if you can get the sewing machine to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteLoving your projects. It is still hot as Hades here I am over it!
