TdF: Week 2

Here is the sum total from this week.

I've got both bobbins of the Boardwalk Lights Merino done. I'll start plying them today.

New in the spindle basket is my Turkish spindle. I decided to dig it out and give it a go since I had all the rest of them in rotation.  I have the same fiber on it as the other drop spindles but it's spinning thicker so this time next week you should see something else on it. I'll wind this off and see if I can re-spin it to save it.

I haven't gotten nearly as far as I wanted with the cotton. It's slow going and very fiddly. My dream of having the ball of cotton finished and plied by this year's Tour is fading. I 'm still better off than the long line of riders that have had to withdraw this year. It's been brutal.

  1. I’m so impressed! You have spun some beautiful yarn. And more time to spin in the coming week.

  4. Boardwalk Lights is really so nice - I love anything with blue!
Really too bad about all the lost riders - the cobbles followed by Alpe d'Huez was just brutal!

  5. Boardwalk Lights is beautiful!
You have had a productive tour. I don't really follow the tour but I've read that the spectators have caused problems. What is wrong with people?
