Tangled

This is what the first day of the Tour looked like to me. Before I did any spinning I had wanted to quickly cake up some hand spun to start a project later that day. As you can see it didn't go so well. My skeins were a tangled mess. I even broke my ball winder midway through when I dropped it. There were lots of bad words said that morning.

It took almost the whole morning's ride through France to sort this out but I did get it done one painful tangle at a time.

There was a little spinning. Very little.

Since it was also a World Cup day I got a few more inches on Brickless.

I finished up the Bruised Ego socks. from Wandering Cat. I love those speckles.

Up next in the sock basket will be another Wandering Cat yarn. This one is watermelon striped and it looks like it's going to be lots of fun. I am a little nervous about it though. My winding mojo seems to have a bit of a curse on it. Every single thing I've wound lately has been a tangled nightmare. Wish me luck. You know I am going to have to go for it eventually.

  4. "Bruised Ego" is the perfect name for the socks/yarn. Tangles and "yarn barf" drive me crazy, too.

  5. No fun when our gadgets go awry!
I hope you sort it out-the new yarn looks like lots of fun now that you have finished the last pair!

  7. Oooh! Those socks are amazing. I love those speckles too. I am so far behind reading blog posts that I think I’m just going to start with today and move forward! I hope your ball winding goes better for you.
    Many blessings,
    Betsy
