Running Out of Road

I've reached the stage where the spindles are all rebelling.

They are too full to spin anymore. They wobble.

It's over. Today I will be winding them all off and wondering what I am going to do with all these singles.

I also have to thank Lucy for this wonderful bag of souvenirs from a special place in Kentucky. This looks like such a fun place to visit. You wouldn't know it but The Mister and I used to be regular travelers once upon a time. We drove to Mexico once for crying out loud. Then life became all about sick parents, sick pets and other roadblocks that kept us off the road for years. It's going to take baby steps for us to get back on that road again. Baby steps.

  1. Nice work with the spindles. We used to be major travelers all over the country, in fact all over the world, before my health issues started appearing. I keep hoping with all my heart that they will improve so I can get back on the road again too. Blessings, Betsy

  2. I'm plying off my last skein today, too.
I like the collection of your spindles-nice art display, too!
(We used to travel so much; by the time we are able to do so again, I don't want to go anywhere!)

  3. Baby steps. Baby Steps. I love the movie What About BOB? Favorite summer comedy. Love my Bill Murray.

  5. Love the blue - we aren't travelers anymore either, hubby has too many health issues. Once in a while I can steal a weekend away with one or both of the daughters but it's a rare occasion.

  6. I think you should knit them all up into a hat or a shawl!
