Baby Talk

This is pretty much all that I've been doing since Tuesday. I should be home tomorrow afternoon and then The Mister and I will be hosting the little one overnight on Saturday while his parents attend a holiday party. I didn't pack any crafty stuff this time around because I knew what I was in for. There is never a dull moment. I figured that my mom was 46 when Daughter was this guy's age. 46. I am even older than my grandmother was when Daughter was 1. Jeesh....the fact that I'm holding my own is impressive-even to me.

  2. I'm impressed! I'm tired just thinking of all you do. But, as Nancy said, enjoy your moments with that darling Grandson...he will grow so fast!

  3. Man - I'm 42 and I can't imagine dealing with all that energy! It's pretty amazing how things changed though - both my grandma's became grandmas in their late 30s, but my mom didn't become one until she was almost 50, and she was still considered young to be a grandma! With more and more people waiting until their 30s or later to have kids now, grandmas are getting older and older. It was always strange to me that Dave's Grandma was in her mid-90s when she died last year, while both my grandmas are barely over 80

  4. I became a grandma at 46! I feel it when I watch the kids for several days now, that's for sure! Still, it is an amazing time to care for them.

  5. I will be an older grandma too, if and that is a big if my children have children of their own. I was a parent of an 12 and 8 year old at 46.
