A February FO

 

Toddy dah.........Althea is done. It looks a little short. I thought about ripping out the hem and adding more length like I did with Festive Doodle but with that unspun Lopi it's not happening. 



When I tried it on it wasn't that bad. I still have to weave in ends and block it which I think is going to relax it a lot so I might just get a bit more length out of it then. We'll see. Even if it doesn't it's a nice sweater. I like it. 



There hasn't been a lot of crafty stuff going on this week because it's been spring cleaning weather but I did get Number 6 nearly finished. We did a deep clean of the downstairs yesterday-windows and everything. I know it's early to be thinking about spring after what the groundhog saw but we've got buds on the trees already. Something is happening out there. You can just feel it.

    Althea is beautiful and it looks great on you. And of course, those little sweaters are always so sweet.
    I don't even want to think about what I'll find at the house when I finally get inside later today. I think we'll be able to move back in by late afternoon, but I saw layers of dust on the kitchen floor when I peeked up the stairs yesterday. I can just imagine what the bedrooms, office and bathrooms look like. They had plastic up and doors shut and the sander had a vacuum on it, but that fine dust looks like it got everywhere.

    Beautiful finish!! With the bright sun it feels like Spring is coming (even though the temps here are still cold).

    The sweater looks great! And know what - if it's for you and not a gift, don't bother weaving in the ends, except the ones that hang out of the hem. They'll felt and no one will ever know. :)
    As for spring, I saw daffodil leaves today! I am SO excited!

    Spring? In February? I can't imagine!
    The sweater is beautiful. I don't think it needs to be longer. Cropped is in. Beside, Lopi is impossible to frog.
