Soldotna Two

I've divided for the body and am heading down the sides on Soldotna One.

The stitches were a little cramped on my circulars so I ordered some longer ones. It just so happened that Knit Picks WotA Tweed was on sale at the very same time so......

.....since the original sweater looks like this I thought I might want one just like it so.......

....it only made sense to get more yarn in those colors, right?

I am tempted to cast on the second right now. These colors make me so happy.

The only thing that is keeping me from doing it is this.

I've been spending my days with a hammer and a chisel. The old tile is coming up pretty easily. Thank goodness The Mister and I did a lousy job of putting it down. It makes it so much easier to get it up. Having said that we are only doing a small section at a time. We have learned that it's not the chiseling, it's the clean up that is the worst part. We can only haul out so much heavy debris at a time.

  1. Wow! You got a lot done on the floor.

I love the colors you chose for BOTH Soldatna sweaters. Those pinks are such happy colors.

  2. Ooooh, pretty yarn and sweater. You have some gorgeous projects going on but I don't envy you the kitchen labor. So. Much. Work. I admire you my friend, I know my back would rebel big time. Who am I kidding? I tried to do a lap around the mall this afternoon and was down in my chair all evening.
    Blessings,

  5. Oh, that new sweater yarn is the best! I love those colors, too. The sweater you are making now is bright and cheery and will brighten winter days ahead, though. Great job on the flooring-wow, what a job!

  7. Your sweater is just beautiful! The yarn for the next one is so pretty. They should be so cheerful to wear on dreary days. Your demolition progress looks great. I opened my raspberry vanilla cold process soap this morning and it smells so wonderful. The packaging is really awesome. Thank you again for your generosity!
