Cornerstones and Lattices

You know what's keeping me up at night?

 Cornerstones and Lattices.

I said I wasn't going to break into the new box of Dear Jane material until I had everything else off the table but.....

Before too much time gets away I needed to see if I actually had what I needed.

If I wanted to match fabric I needed to do it before the collection sold out. It looks like I have more than enough-and then some.

As for those cornerstones and lattices, it seems that I planned on making them all with this solid taupe. They happen to be all the pieces that join all the blocks together. It looks like I have plenty but now I am second guessing this decision. I like the idea of taupe but I think maybe a small print might work better. Decisions, decisions......

  1. This is such a grand project. I would never be able to choose fabrics. I am so bad at matching colors. Will be waiting for your progress.

  2. I think you are better off with the solids for the cornerstones and lattices so the design of each block. But until you make a few blocks and set the different sashings in place, you will just keep mulling it around! lol

  3. I marvel at the silly things that keep me from restorative sleep. An irritating text from my sis in law keep me up the other night. Really? let it go Kathy b. Count wooly sheep

  4. Matching fabrics or colors has always been something I wished I could do better. I tend to "waffle" and doubt my ability. I'm looking forward to seeing your decisions!

  6. I think deciding on fabrics is one of the hardest parts of quilting!

  7. Those fabrics! I love small prints like that and make most of my dresses with cotton. How fun to have a project to be working on for a long time.
