On Schedule

With my Maryland Sheep and Wool deadline looming ever closer (good golly, it's tomorrow!) I was this close to finishing the edging on my #42 Motif Wrap when-gasp-I ran out of yarn. No kidding. I had four lousy loops to go. I could have just put it away until after the festival and hoped I could pick up another skein at the vendor that I bought it from last year or I could just power on with what I had on hand.

I had some pink/green combo left over so I just went on with it. Now my little corner doesn't match.

In the mish mash of all the colors, I don't think it is going to be an issue.

See what I mean?

This is not the official mug shot. It hasn't been blocked and you can see how many blessed ends still have to be woven it but there is no other way to show this thing off. It is unwieldy and so very long. I have tried it on and I can tell you there are issues with the way it lays around the neck. Maybe a good blocking will tame it. If not, I have just spent a year and a lot of money making a really, really big doily.
