Fair Warning

The testing is finally over so tomorrow will be.............The 2024 Winter Giveaway!

No need to hem and haw about how much it costs me to mail it to you. I get MONTHS of fun out of every giveaway I do. When else would I get to dress like this for a couple of weeks several times a year?

I know I have to lay out some serious coin for shipping it out to you all but in return I get to play mad scientist ALL YEAR. Coming up with new formulas keeps me up at night. I love it.

Then I get to make and bake for days and not have to worry about calories.

I have a reason to play with color, scents and glitter that gives me almost instant gratification.

The feeling when you get up in the morning and you know you have soap to cut is priceless. It's like weeks of Christmas mornings.

Who doesn't want 16 pretty bars of soap lined up on their tub waiting to be used? Testing a bar from each loaf is always exciting. Not every one works out. I had one failed batch that got tossed this time around. My first try at Comfort and Joy was terrible. Too much scent. Too much color. Too much heat.

You know wrapping it all up and making it pretty is my favorite part. I've got shelves of pretty paper that needs a purpose.

I used to make full sized cards for everyone to go along for the ride but for one reason or another getting down to the card room has been hard this past year. I've had to make do with little instruction cards because soap making "best practices" says I have to. It seems there are still folks out there who don't know to keep soap out of their eyes or to rinse it off.....lol.

Here's a sneak peak of what I'll be showing off tomorrow. I've got 16 loaves that tested out perfectly. I am beyond happy with this soaping session so I can't wait to share it. I'll have all the details tomorrow.

  5. That is an awesome amount of soap! I love seeing the photos of the process and the one of you in your protective gear is priceless. Your soaps are packaged so beautifully that I can understand why that would be a favorite part of the process.
