Anyone Know the Number of a Good Exorcist?

All your good juju got Pup a clean bill of health at the local vet's yesterday afternoon at 1:00. No mites to be found. But......

....by 1:30 we were on our way to the far away emergency vet clinic when the vet tech dislocated Pup's hip while trimming her nails. Yes, you read that right. DISLOCATED HER HIP. We were at the emergency hospital until 8 pm only to be told she must have surgery to repair the hip and they are so backed up they can't even schedule it until the 16th. We were sent home with pain meds and strict instructions to keep her immobile until then.

We really looked forward to being able to hold her and pet her again but not like this.
And yes, our vet is paying for all this surgery. It's going to be very $$$$.
From one nightmare to another.
Can you believe it?

And.....don't be alarmed if I disappear again. Taking care of Pup looks like it's going to be a full time job for a while. I'll post if and when I have good things to share but it looks like I'm going to be sitting on the floor with a dog watching Netflix for the foreseeable future-again.

  1. Poor pup, how awful that she cannot have surgery until the 16th. Perhaps the Vet office that caused the injury can call around and find someone to do the surgery soon. Unbelievable.

  3. This is unbelievable. Completely and utterly unbelievable. I've never heard of anything like this before. At least they're stepping up to the plate and paying for it, but poor, poor Pup. I hope there is a cancellation and surgery can happen sooner.
    Blessings,

  4. Poor sweet pup, and you guys as well! At least the vet's office is paying, but I hope things go well. When you get a chance, please give her a kiss from me. Take care, all of you.

  5. Geesh, how on earth did the tech manage to do that! Easy to say to keep Pup immobile, but another to actually manage it. I’m so sorry this happened.
