Ditto for the crocus that are by the chimney. They are always a sign that spring is here for real. We may still get some frozen stuff but it's usually of the snow cone variety. Our chance for any real snow is zilch.
As for my February mini quilt, it's still NOT quilted. I didn't have any pink thread. Can you imagine that? I'm going to go pick some up this weekend.
I did start free motion quilting Daddio's wedding ring lap quilt. It's nothing to brag about but I am feeling comfortable enough with the machine now to do more than just stippling and loop de loops. My nightly date with Angela Walters is paying off.
The quilting is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSpring... so warm and wonderful! We have -15C and wind. Liana
ReplyDeleteOh that crocus! I love the color. Anything purplish always makes my heart go pitter patter. Gorgeous job on the quilts. On the weather front, we’re under a snow advisory. Big surprise there isn’t it?

I love pansy Flowers. My phone is showing snow tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers to give you pops of color and hope of Spring! You are doing great on the free motion quilting!!!! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteSpring blooms always make my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteSooooo jealous of your flowers. I bought myself some tulips at the grocery store to bring a little spring to the house.
ReplyDeleteAnd... if there's one thing I've learned about quilting, it's the little mistakes tend to disappear in the finished project.
That wedding ring quilt is totally fab!!
ReplyDeleteoh pansies! So far we have seen one robin and the willow tree branches are becoming bright yellow. Thats all we got. Fireman and I are headed out to take a tree down that's strangling the pear tree out there. It is cold but sunny. Wish us luck
ReplyDeleteI love Daddio's quilt. I have a similar one from my grandmother. Love your beautiful flowers, so pretty.
