Ditto for the Olympic fiber leftovers. Ready to be plied but all I want to do is lay in bed and watch Netflix. Seen Seven Seconds yet? Wow....just wow.
I keep telling myself that I can visit the fiber shelf for a new project to spin if I get them done but it's not working.
Same for the mini St Patty's quilt. Me and it had a serious issue so I am not speaking to it at the moment. It needs to be sandwiched and quilted but I can't stand to look at it right now. Who ever said Nine Patch was an easy block? It isn't. And don't get me started on that border. I can't tell you how many times I ripped this whole thing apart. Now I know why I paper piece these things. I stink at actual piecing.
Anyway...I've got lots of soap to wrap. The first of four batches is ready this week. I love cleaning and wrapping soap-so I know at least I will get that done.
I've got a lot of plying staring me in the face right now too but I think I'll go check out Seven Seconds instead. You've intriqued me.
ReplyDeleteThespun fiber looks so pretty on the wheel. I miss spinning. I also think that little quilt is darling. It looks great to me but I know I’m not the one giving it the silent treatment. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
So you need to do the things that you can wrap your head around! There is a lot going on for your brain right now; be patient with yourself and watch your energy level soar with the bathroom done and Spring really here for keeps! (We even had another morning of frost!)
ReplyDeleteI can identify with putting projects in "time out". There's a shawl that went horribly wrong and every time I pass the table it's on I realize I've made a nasty face at the poor thing. On the other hand, your soap looks beautifully well-behaved!
ReplyDeleteSurely the soap fumes will help! All that lovely fragrance is sure to bring back some crafting mojo.
ReplyDeleteSometimes projects need to marinate a bit, so don't feel bad. I have a shawl on the needles that's been in time out for several months. I'll pick it up again sometime.
ReplyDeleteSometimes finishing is the hardest part. I've had a baby bonnet sitting here for almost a week - it just needs bear ears, but I just can't seem to pick it up!
ReplyDeleteOh Try to enjoy whatever you are working on Deb. Try not to feel guilty. You've had a hard go of it this year, be kind to you!!!
ReplyDeleteDo whatever makes you happy! Hope you let the St. Paddy's quilt out of time out soon; I think it looks great. You get way more accomplished than you give yourself credit for!
