We got the floor tile done last week. It took two days to work our way around the room so that we could get it down without stepping on the ones already down. It was sort of like playing Twister with tile.
Then we hit a rainy spell so we decided to replace the old fans with the fans I bought for the job-IN AUGUST. We do take our time around here.
I also wanted to change out the wall switches in the kitchen/dining area. That day I just had to marvel at our ability to tear up almost every room in the house at the same time.
We grouted the bathroom floor yesterday after a trip into town on Sunday to return the grout I thought I wanted, for the grout I decided would be a better color. Painting is next but not until we get better weather. I don't paint unless I can open a window so it may be a while. Mother Nature is not cooperating. She's definitely giving me the cold shoulder.
Looks like everything is moving forward.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness you guys are super busy there. I can’t believe how much you’re getting done. That tile is looking wonderful. There’s something so nice about white tile. I sure hope you get some warmer weather soon. It’s supposed to start raining here tonight and thenrain for several days. At least it’s not snow. I’m not complaining. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteWow! You guys are amazing. Well dome!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Nice that you're getting some things checked off the list.
ReplyDeleteCloser and closer...it will be gorgeous when it's done. Almost there!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see that you've made such a lot of progress on the bathroom! So many of my personal projects (and those of myself and OH) have been sitting in "time out" - I think it's time for us to gird our loins and try them again!
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom is really shaping up! Finally, right?! Encouraging.
ReplyDeleteHow I admire those who can do their own home improvement projects! My home needs things done, but I simply do not have the skills, the tools, or the desire to tackle them myself.
ReplyDeleteYou are making great progress, and you even find time to craft. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose projects seem to go slo slow, but they tire me out good. I almost wrote you last night. I had a huge cry over mom and upcoming St. pats day. She was so IRish. I wrote my dad a card and cried the whole time I wrote it. In a way it was a good purge. But the sudden grief and tears bothered me. My mom would hug me and say, "it will be OKAY" so I imagine that.....FIreman was a great support
ReplyDeleteAwww...I get it. All these moments of intense grief keep popping up for me too. I was thinking maybe I am spending too much time working on his unfinished projects so soon but I feel like I need to get them done so I can move on. I keep telling myself that a good cry never hurt anyone. I hope I'm right!
DeleteIt's coming together nicely!
