Santa Baby

I'm not getting much done craft wise because I am obsessed with my Santa puzzle. I've been putting it together every Christmas since the kids were little. I am so obsessed with it that I went on ebay last week and bought another just in case this one wears out. I have lost one piece over the years and that's one too many.

I did get a few letters and a flower on the winter sampler.

The paper pieced mini quilt is ready for applique. I am listening to Tim Curry read A Christmas Carol while I work. Sublime.

This is as far as I have gotten with Mr Chill. It's a good thing he is staying out all winter.

Daddio's wonky Christmas top is in the process of being free motion quilted. I am just doing an equally wonky meander and so far so good.

I even still have holiday soap to wrap. These are the ill fated bars from the batch that I had to hand stir. They actually turned out very nicely. I've used up a bar each of them and I can say I can't tell the difference now from the ones I stick blended. Just the colors suffered I think. They may not be pretty but at least I didn't waste all those lovely oils and butters.

And finally, today is Son #1's birthday. I can't believe this munchkin is 40!!! Where does the time go?

  1. It looks to me liKe you’ve gotten a lot done. I watched a video on paper piecing a few days ago and it looked like so much fun. However, I have a LOT of yarn to use up before I can justify a new hobby. :-)
    Happy Birthday to your boy!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  9. Oh I love the photo with your son and Santa! I feel your time flying feelings over here. The holidays and children of all ages have that effect on me.

I swear the word obsessed and puzzle go hand in hand. My gf had a ladies holiday puzzle party on Sunday. Two tables set up with different puzzles and the crazy puzzle lady times ensued. LOL
