My birthday plans for today got derailed not once but twice. First by football. We were supposed to celebrate tonight but The Mister informed me that he would not be available because apparently there are important games to watch. Jeesh. Then it was the weather. I wanted to get Mexican food at the place on the boardwalk and hang out by the water but it was COLD. We even got some snow. Jeesh.
In a way of punishment for the football I made The Mister sit through one of my favorite holiday movies while we ate. He'd never seen it. He didn't hate it. He even laughed-once.
He surprised me after dinner with marshmallows.
We haven't done this in ages.
He also surprised me with an ice cream cake even though I made him promise not to. I've been hitting the elliptical every morning in hopes of losing a few but that's out the window-for now. Jeesh.
Happy, happy birthday .....and I think cake would be okay when you are turning 64!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Happy Birthday a little late. Sorry you had snow. We ended up with over 8 inches and it’s still falling. They said we would get less than an inch! Ha! Those marshmallows and ice cream cake look really good.
