In between the holiday sewing projects, making cookies, wrapping presents and working on my Santa puzzle I managed to make more soap last week too.
I have been looking for a reason to use this special oil I got from of all places-the vets. The bird vet wants me to feed it to my parrot but as soon as I saw it I knew it had to also be soap.
It looks like pumpkin guts but I have read that it is amazing for the skin.
I also wanted to use a new fragrance sample that came in the mail last week. It's White Thyme and Rosemary and it smells wonderful. Like Herbal Essence for those of us old enough to remember that popular shampoo.
I bet you can guess which one got the red palm oil. Yep. The one on the far right. That bright yellow is all red palm and it smells like Patchouli. The middle one is Nuture Soap's Awaken which is lemongrass and bergamot. With these three additional loaves the grand total right now is 81 little bars curing-but I'm not done. I've got a few more fragrances I want to do before my drying racks are full again. You just can't have enough soap.

It all sounds wonderful. I used to love Herbal Essence shampoo. I had forgotten about it until you mentioned it. That is some beautiful soap.

You sure stay busy, Deb. Those new soaps are beautiful! Herbal Essence was once my favorite shampoo until they changed it!
ReplyDeleteLemon grass and bergomot! Mmm... This must smell divine!

You are incredible; where do you find the time?
ReplyDeleteHerbal Essence shampoo and Patchouli? Oh gracious, did I just have a fragrance flashback!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and the fragrances sound divine.
ReplyDeleteBergamot and lemongrass sounds divine. I grew up around a lot of patchouli so um I have an irrational aversion to it. And yes I remember the original Herbal Essence. Smelled like Mom for a while. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteYour soaps are just beautiful and I'm sure they smell divine! Thanks for sharing! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteThey ALL sound wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Herbal Essence shampoo from the olden days. That and LEMON UP were my favorites!!
You have been beyond busy! The new soap looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteMy gingerbread man was put out in the bathroom at our large cousin party last week. He's still cleaning our hands with a lovely scent and I think of YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteKathy, gingerbread soap must smell lovely when in use!
DeleteSeriously do you ever sleep? The gingerbread man you sent Little Buddy is getting good use, the white is almost off all of him. Hugs.
