I ordered yarn from Walmart. I had it delivered to the nearby store and picked it up while I was on my weekly kitty food run.
It's nothing special but it saved me from driving forever to a craft store to buy it. It's for an impulse project.
I really, really love my Homespun shawl/blankie thing. I curl up in it for a nap most afternoons and for some reason I really, really want a red one. Now I just have to figure out how to fit that knitting in with the other zillions projects I've got going on.

Wow, that’s a pretty red. I have some homespun on hand also. It’s not my favorite yarn to use because it seems to split easily, but I do like the soft fabric but it makes. I’ll be looking forward to seeing your new shawl finished. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Homespun....I love that stuff for snuggly blankets and so does Louie. LOL I have made several out of it and he snuggles in them right while I'm knitting them,
ReplyDeleteThat will be a cozy blanket!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I got some soap from you the other day - OMG I AM IN HEAVEN!!! Thanks so much.
I know that Homespun yarn is acrylic, but it is just so darn SNUGGLY!!! Enjoy the new blanket project.
ReplyDeleteDeb, With all the GIVING you do , I hope you sit down and knit this for YOU!!! Right away. its getting cold. You deserve it
ReplyDeleteOooh - a nice warm red blankie! Sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove that red. It will be so cozy...perfect for right now!
ReplyDeleteThis yarn is so cuddly-I don't blame you-too bad you can't warp up the loom and whip off a woven blanket in the blink of time!
ReplyDeleteYes! That blanket shawl piece looks SO cozy, I can see why you'd want to recreate it! I've also knit w/that yarn and it's super soft. Red is going to be so much fun to work with this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you want a red one, it is festive and cozy. Enjoy!
