Deck the Halls

I came home with some new things for the tree from my birthday field trip courtesy of Daughter.

I am getting quite a herd of stick critters on the tree.

I also found some tinsel. At Walmart. I wasn't looking in the right place. It was with the gift wrap of all things. Although it looked gorgeous it didn't last on the tree 24 hours because I noticed a certain very naughty kitty trying to eat it off the tree. I was not happy.

Redecorating the tree with the new doodads made me remember this ornament in progress. I thought I would have this finished by now but no....I tucked it away and forgot about it until now. Maybe next year. I still have all the beading to do.

I also want to thank Judy for this beautiful scarf. You can't see it but it's sparkly-perfect for tucking in my coat on New Year's or anytime I am feeling a little glam. Thanks again, Judy. It was very thoughtful!

  1. What an adorable scarf! A little sparkle is just what you need when the grey days of winter set in.

  2. What a pretty scarf! I love the pattern and the colors. You have some lovely new ornaments. And I really like that Crosstitch pattern too. Lots of fun things in this post today. It’s funny, our cat never bothered the tinsel on the tree one little bit. He was fascinated by the sparkling though. He would just lay there for hours staring at the tree but never make any move to approach it except to bat at an ornament.

  5. Pretty scarf and I love the stick figures (I have some too). Gosh, I have not seen tinsel in years! I always loved the way it looked on trees, but I hated at the end of the season trying to get it off (my Mom always wanted to save it for the next year).

  6. Great stick ornaments! Tinsel is the best but cats are notorious for being attracted, too! What a beautiful scarf-enjoy wearing it!

  8. Judy is so lovely to send such a wonderful gift. That tinsel has been packaged the same way since I was little. I remember those boxes so well. Merry Christmas!
