Wednesday WIPs

It hasn't been the kind of week where things got done but I did finish the Static man socks. After a very rocky start, they behaved nicely right to the end. I only hope that bit of laddering up the side from the Magic Loop blocks out. If not I'll just pretend it's a design element.

I didn't even finish the Audun blocks I had begun. I still have one more round to go before they can go in the finish pile. Today I am getting some alone time while The Mister does battle against some poison ivy at his sister's house. I plan to sit on the couch and knit and knit and knit...and maybe a little crochet. I don't think I can name a part of me that isn't tired.
And....thanks so much for all the kind words yesterday. Sometimes I feel like Debbie Downer because it seems to be one thing after another anymore but then you all chime in with your own tales of woe reminding me that I am not alone. The older we get the more we lose along the way. It just is what it is.

  1. The socks turned out great and the colors in your crochet project are just wonderful - so happy! You are right, the older we get, the more we lose.

  2. The socks turned out great--I really like the way the stripes worked on the heels! Yes, trust me a rest day is just what you need-grief is very physical....

  3. I appreciate bloggers who keep it real. Life isn't all sunshine and roses. And if someone has a life that is all sunshine and roses, I don't want to know about it! Mine certainly isn't.
I've tried two circ, but my ladders are unfixable. It's OK. I like DPNs.

  4. I love that colorful crochet! I have always wanted to do that but could never get started so I just gave all of my yarn and hooks away. I am hoping someone else will enjoy being productive!

  6. Your socks are great and I'm sure the ladder will disappear. The squares are great too. You are NOT a Debbie downer. We're you're friends and we're here for you. As you know, I have had three deaths in the last few weeks too. After awhile it all starts to get to you. This is where we share with each other. You are such a blessing to me. I hope you get lots of knitting/crochet time in today.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy
