Growing Things

All this rain we've been having has made my outside plants very happy. I've got lots of little tomatoes on the way and two little green peppers.

My herb pot is happy too. I thought I was going to lose my basil but it bounced back once it got hot.

My pot of Black-eyed Susan's bounced back too. A late frost almost did them in.

The deer haven't eaten all the hostas yet and they are getting ready to bloom.

The hydrangea is already in bloom. I want to replant the front beds one day and fill them with hydrangea. They remind me of weddings and little beach cottages and I really like weddings and little beach cottages.

  1. Your hydrangeas are so beautiful, we can't grow them her nor lilacs or peonies, all of which I love so much. Enjoy!

    Do you do vacations?

  3. Your yard is similar to mine, I think. My hydrangea is just getting started. It is pink, so far.

I thought I lost my black-eyed Susans and echinacea, but oh my word have they bounced back. They are HUGE. The echinacea has started flowers. Not so for the black eyed Susan yet.

  4. What a great connection to hydrangeas. I love your softly tinted blue ones! I have not one echinacea flowering yet but the buds are there. If we had not watered every day, it would all be dead. The lawn is yellow and crunches as you walk upon it! We need some rain!

  7. So pretty! I love hydrangeas and they do well here. Tomatoes here are not happy thanks to our cool nights.
