The Light of Day

I have a project that lives in this box under the coffee table. I rarely take it out to work on it. It makes me sad.

I have no idea why I can't get the mojo up to finish it. It's beautiful. It's Attic24's Cozy Colours blanket from her ancient CAL.

What's not to like about all these gorgeous colors? I subbed the Knit Picks yarn but tried to stay as close as possible to her original colors.

I think the problem is that it is big. I mean BIG. I like to do a little bit of everything a day and this eats up lots of time just to get one single row done.

It's me size and it would be nice to take a nap under one day, wouldn't it? It's so soft. I did manage to put two more colors on this week. That's a record for me. Woo hoo.

Oh, yeah. There's another issue. I really need to think about starting to make an effort to do something about all those ends. Or, maybe I'll just put on the LOTR trilogy (or Star Wars or Harry Potter... or whatever) one day and do them all at once.

  1. Those pesty ends! I'm having the same problem with my sock yarn blanket at the moment.

  2. Oy! That's a TON of ends. But the colors are wonderful. Maybe a rainy day project?

  3. Or fringe. Lots of fringe added to hide them.
The blanket will be nice someday...yarn lasts a long time so don't worry about the expiration date!

  4. I love striped blankets and the colors in yours are so pretty. Warm weather makes working on a large blanket a challenge. A movie marathon sounds like a good idea.

  5. Oh I love the Trilogy idea. I have to do ends all in one day. It is a yuck task isnt it? That blanket is going to be bananas good!

  6. How about tying them up together to make a fringe?

  7. Blankets can be so daunting! IT is so fun to start them but keeping up the blanket mojo is very hard.
    Hugs to you,
