Gobble, Gobble

Since I finished my first little hooked rug, I've been itching to start another. Sticker shock was a big problem. I wanted something mindless this time around so I went looking for patterns and patterns are apparently expensive. I did find this rather handsome turkey for a decent price here.

While checking that link, I managed to buy this pattern as well. $7. You can't beat that. I'm hoping the designer comes up with some equally cute Christmas and winter patterns. I'll be checking back often.

Pattern means pattern. What you get is the scale drawing for you to transfer to your own backing. That will be my next big adventure.

What I wanted but couldn't afford was the design all drawn out for you on the already bound background.

Look at what I paid for that one about three years ago at MDSW. If I'd known this hooking thing was going to get so popular (and expensive) I would have bought a pile of them.

  5. Love both patterns! It seems to me all patterns have really increased in price. I sure get excited when I find free ones on Ravelry and other places.
