Nothing But Net

My turkey rug pattern had to be transferred to the linen backing and I wasn't sure how to do it.

I saw someone using nylon tulle once so I thought I would give it a try. I felt like a criminal marking on my beautiful pattern but it had to be done. Here I am drawing on the tulle that I taped over the pattern.

Look at that. It worked like a charm. First you trace the paper pattern onto the net and then you trace over the drawing on the net after you pin it onto the backing. Brilliant and simple.
I need to mention again that this gorgeous pattern is from Leah Smith and you can find her lovely designs on Etsy here.

  1. Hooray! I love it when a plan works out! On to the hooking!

  2. I'm sitting back and enjoying the hooking vicariously through you!

  3. Great idea! Can't wait to see the colors you choose.

  4. What a clever technique! I'm with Wanderingcatstudio and Janet ... I'm really excited to watch this project unfold.

  5. Brilliant! Now to watch as you work; that will be FUN!
