Wednesday WIPs

There is not much of anything of interest to share today.  My second Felici sock is at the heel. Musselburgh is finally at the decreases. Since The Mister has felt well enough to shuffle out into the living room I don't get much down time to work on anything. We are either doing his therapy exercises or I'm hooking him up to his compression machines and running interference for him since he's immobile. The rest of the day is spent making sure he doesn't do anything stupid. He's got a lot of physical restrictions. No bend, no lift, no twist.

If I can get him to take a nap I pick up the big gray blob. It's a fingering weight raglan cardi I'm knitting for Second Son. I'll share the pattern if it works. The jury is still out. Riddari, Bon Amie and Chestnut are in time out. I don't have the brains for them at the moment.

I have had the brains for my puzzle because I am working on it in a brainless way. I've separated the pieces by color and I just sit there at night with a bowl of them trying one after the other to see if something fits. There is very little thinking involved with this method and it's working-almost too well. I'm not ready to finish this one. I guess I need to order another of these big 1000 piecers. I think I like them after all.

  1. Oh you reminded me that I really have to get working on my big grey blob - Dad's Christmas sweater!

  2. Nice work on the puzzle and the socks! How long does it take to knit a sweater with fingering yarn; that's an impressive project.

  3. The Musselburgh will soon be finished. It looks great so far. Is the Mister doing all his PT at home or does he also go to a PT clinic?

  4. Great puzzle. Love your Musselburgh. I just got yarn to knit one for myself. Can't wait to start it but I'm determined to finish my Hue Shift blanket first. So glad to hear The Mister is getting around a little. Hope recovery continues to go well.
