Roadtrip

This morning I get to take this pitiful sad sack back to the surgeon for his 10 day post op check. I hope he gets read the riot act about getting up and getting on with it. Mr. Ants in his Pants has been wallowing in misery for far too long and I'm tired of lecturing. It's been a struggle to get him out of his comfort zone-his bed. At least I got him off the heavy duty pain meds and replaced it with some Tylenol. Maybe when that junk gets out of his system he'll come back to the land of the living. It turned my dad into an addled brained zombie. I don't want to see that happen to The Mister. The similarities are unnerving.

  1. Oh, I hope the doctor says all is okay and he needs to get moving. I'm surprised he isn't up and about more by now. It will be good for him to hear it from the doctor rather than you. I know you're taking most excellent care of him and he knows it too.
We sign on the condo tomorrow at 10:00 and I'm ready to be done with this. The apartment looks like a war zone with boxes everywhere and I haven't even started the bathrooms or kitchen yet. I don't want to ever move again. It's not just the moving itself. It's changing addresses and notifying everyone, not just for us but for Mom too since we take care of all of her things. I'm exhausted already.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  2. Yes, we've learned that tylenol is better than pain meds for the reasons you stated! The pain is temporary-the pain meds are not so easy to tolerate! Hoping the outing will do him good! (and you, too!)

  3. Hope the Mister gets a good report at the doctor and will feel like getting up a bit more.
