Patience/Patients

I'm out of fun things to post about. Truth be told, all the fun things I've been showing off this week were mostly in play before the surgery. This week I've been run ragged by a cranky old man who is really struggling with all of this. It was so much more than he expected. He has minimal use of the bad leg now and he's very frustrated. He can't sleep, he doesn't want to eat, he can't sit for more than a few minutes at a time. He goes ballistic if I make any noise. No sewing machines, no loom, even my baking set him off the other day...the pans, the pans...lol. It's been 24/7 non-stop placating. I have to laugh at myself for thinking that I would be able to go to the MDSW this Saturday. Ha. The Mister can't help himself out of bed so how is going to carry our lame dog up and down the stairs to go potty? Not happening. Not this year. The weather is not helping either. It's been cold and rainy. If I could push him out on the deck into some sunshine I feel like he would return to life. Right now, it's just touch and go and I'm so ready to go....anywhere but here.

  3. I'm so sorry he's having a such a difficult time for him and YOU too. He should be turning a corner soon where everything will be so much easier. The first week is so hard. I'll be praying for you both.
