TNT: Tiny Needle Thursday

I shamed myself into going downstairs and a least getting something done on the nautical sampler. I finished one and a half more sails.

Spiral Chicken got a leaf on her last flower.

The upstairs sewing room has been in soaping mode for the past week so no stitching up there. Everything has been shoved in a corner out of the way of all that oil.

As for knitting.....my mojo has disappeared. Every morning I line up my projects on the messy kitchen table in hopes that I find a quiet minute to sit down with a cup of tea and just knit but it never happens. The pace of this isolation thing just amazes me. Life hasn't actually changed much for us retirees so what the heck happened to all my me time?

  1. Every day seems to have less time...which is silly...but I feel the same way:)

  2. I know what you mean about time. My life hasn't changed greatly either but I did venture to the post office. I had three birthday packages to mail so I braved it. My first trip there in months. I had gloves and a mask on and I was in and out in less than five minutes. The clerks had NO MASKS on! Can you believe it? No wonder I've avoided going there. I won't go back anytime soon either.
    Blessings,

  3. The Sampler in your sewing room is wonderful. I like the strawberry borders.

  4. It's having you both home all the time. Dave was only out of the house about 30 percent of that time, but I put that 30% to good use. My housecleaning has really suffered because our place is small and he's ALWAYS in the way. I used to clean when he was out.

    1. Yep. I think that's what it is. I've always got someone looking over my shoulder.

  5. Your stitchery projects are just beautiful. A couple look like they might get completed before you decide on a change and pack them away.

  6. Designate a time each day for sitting down--no matter what, like medicine--you can't miss a dose! lol The chaos doesn't help, I'm sorry to say-you need some soothing spot.

  7. I agree. What happened ? I used to go to the barn twice a week for hours. How did Ifind the time? Well, the spring and the woods made for a very needed clean up here. I hope the flowers bloom and the trees get stronger from all the work we have done.
