Let There Be Light

I've finally crawled out of the black hole I've been living in since my three day migraine began. Three whole days wasted. That's a record for me. I'm blaming it on that high pressure thing that was out in the Atlantic. As soon as it went, my headache went. It was a doozey. As for this Tiny Needle Tuesday, these are the tiniest needles I've used for a while. The Mosi pullover is now at the armhole split.

In a Valentine's Day fit of romance I cast on a red and pink Mosi hat. I can't have enough of these. When I have a headache I wear one all day. I pull it over my eyes and live in a world of hazy wool.

Sockland has one finish and two going down the foot. I didn't include the black man sock with the wonky ribbing because I am still not speaking to it yet. I'm afraid if I pick it up I'll be ripping it back again. You know I'm going to.

Before all the headache drama I actually cast on Altheda. This is the top down pullover made from the single ply Icelandic yarn. It's a heart stopper. You have to be real zen when working with this stuff. No false moves or it drifts apart. It's doable but I have to be in the mood. I haven't been so I didn't get very far. It'll keep.

Finally......Lofoten is at the underarms which means lots of directions to follow and fancy snowflakes to knit on the yoke. I am not feeling it. It's getting packed away until next fall. It's too springy here for worsted wool and don't even get me started on how I feel about snowflakes. Barely a flake to be seen this year. Boooooo......

Speaking of the lack of winter, how about this? All my crocus are now in bloom.

Even crazier, my hostas just poked their noses out of the dirt. I posted about them popping up last year on April 12th.  What the holy heck people?

  1. Glad you are feeling better. Migraines suck!! I get them with storms as well. Its a real thing.
Your needles have been quite busy. Your projects are all lovely. We are expecting a snow storm tomorrow so your little plants poking up are making me quite jealous...

  2. I know. Crazy winter this year. My daffs and hyacinths are coming up. And, something else is popping up in the back. I have no idea what it might be. LOL

Your colorwork is simply amazing. Your color choices simply gorgeous.

  3. Wow! So much colorwork. I admire you so much and to work on them when you have a headache is amazing to me. There are no flowers here although it is a bit warmer than usual for February and the snow has been gone for several days now. I'm ready for spring but I do know that it's too soon.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. You've so many beautiful things to attract you on the knitting front! Sorry about the headaches--the high pressure really sits on me, too. I hope you can get back into the spring/Spring of things now.

  8. I love the Valentine hat!! I don't think I've ever used red wool so now it's on my list to look for - although I'm using some golden now that is really pretty!

  9. Glad you are feeling good and back to doing the things you enjoy. All of your works in progress are beautiful. The hats and sweaters look so intricate! Daffodils have been blooming for several weeks here and forsythia is now in bloom. Apparently, we have a slight chance of some snow Thursday night. If so, it will be the first of this winter.

  11. Im moving to where you live! your weather is so much warmer and milder than I ever imagined it would be!! We are still under snow. There is not a flower around. I did see grass in Illinois when we went for an appointment today.
Your projects are breathtaking! I love the hats and the socks you have going! Your sweaters are well beyond me. IF I knit one of those, I'd need a week with your help!!! In person!
