A Case of the Blahs

If you are anywhere in the country but here I bet you're tired of hearing me whine about rain. I'm tired of whining about rain but it's still raining. My little creek is almost at the top and the yard is a soggy mess. Ugh.

We decided to make the day tax day but when I tried to download and print the MD forms it was a no go. The website says you have to use a certain program with a certain browser and I don't have either. I was not happy. We emailed them like they said to do but when we got no response we took off in the car to the Comptroller office to pick them up in person.

It was an hour up and back but it was still better than sitting at home and grousing about the weather. The office was near Ikea so we had lunch in the parking lot. You can't beat 75 cent hot dogs. Veggie for me. Regular for him. I packed Pup a lunch. No more fast food for her. I put some mileage on the man sock on the long ride. That ribbing is still a tad longer than the other one but I give up. I'm not ripping it out again. Hopefully no one will notice but me.

  1. I'm with you on the rainy... it's been a crazy rainy winter and I'm so over it. Bring on spring.

  2. No one will ever notice. After all, the cuff is usually hidden anyway. :-)
I'm sorry about having to take the trip but oh, to be so near an IKEA. I miss IKEA. When Mandy lived in Portland we went often. It's been years since I was there. A trip to Portland may be in the schedule for spring. It's only 6 hours one way!
Our taxes have been at the accountant for 2 weeks and should be done tomorrow or Thursday. I sure hope it's good news!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. Thankfully, Wyoming doesn’t have a state income tax - yet. The legislature is meeting this month, and it’s up for discussion because the energy sector is not as active and bringing in needed income. Sigh!

  5. I think you can be sure nobody else will ever notice a slight difference in the ribbing. Hopefully, you are having a rain free day today. We had four days of rain in the forecast but, so far, no rain today. It is a bit overcast, no sun, and rain is forecast for tomorrow. Hope you get the taxes filed and a refund is due.

  6. I'm sorry about all of the rainy , dreary.
I wish I could share some sunshine with you!
The sock is close enough--they are on different legs so it won't be an issue! lol

  7. ugh taxes and rain and no progress on either...big hugs to you! We are getting snow. Few inches. But then bitter cold. That may close the barn tomorrow night . The arena is heated, but it is hard for people in wheelchairs in good weather and very hard in bad. We'll see

  9. You are brave to knit on such dark yarn! The cuffs look fine to me. And what recipient can count rows way down on their leg? We've not seen much sun since Christmas and had the rainiest January since 1953; I can sure relate to whining!
