6%

It may be the coldest day we have had all winter but there is no snow in sight. In fact, our news guy said that forecasters say we have only a 6% chance of seeing any snow this winter at all. It was sunny today, bright actually and of course I had a raging headache. I could have sewn and stitched or whatever in all that bright light but instead I spent the day napping on and off in my comfy chair wearing a wool hat and two pairs of wool socks. It was cruel.

Hoover thought so too. He kept wanting to jump up and keep me company but I am deathly allergic to cats so we spent the day at odds. He has his own bed on the floor but a warm human was his first choice. Not happening. Allergies on top of a migraine are not my idea of a good time.

In case you are wondering why I am not curled up on the couch with my blanket and pillow, I lost that battle years ago. It's kitty territory now.

  1. Well...at least the kitties look comfortable. I'm sorry about your headache. If it's any consolation, I had one all day today too. Not fun at all.
Your socks look nice and warm though.
    Blessings,

  3. Isn't it very scientific to have our heads as baraometers....
Hope you feel better today! A down day is just part of the schedule, i'm learning.

  4. Nice socks. I wouldn't have thought with allergies to cats you could even have them in the house without consequences to you.

  6. Hope you are feeling much better today! I would imagine the weather roller coaster contributes to migraines. We have had no snow this winter and I noticed when I walked this morning that forsythia is blooming. Daffodils and some of the trees have been in bloom for several weeks. Will be interesting to see what March brings.

  7. Hope today was warmer and your headache is all gone. We had hail last night for the first time in ages, and it was accompanied by thunder and lightning! Very weird for this part of the world.
