Knit Not

My knitting mojo seems to have disappeared. I'm still slogging away on the Willow Cowl. It's not a bad knit but it's just not calling my name as I walk by its knitting bag.

I did finish another dishcloth but it took me two weeks. Maybe more.

I had to force myself to get the first row started on the big blanket. Its days might be numbered. Big blankets and spring don't work for me. I guess spring and knitting isn't working for me either.

  1. So work on quilting instead. You know it will come back eventually. The cowl is very pretty with your handspun yarn.

  2. Love all your projects! Sometimes you just need a break though.

  3. I love the idea of hand knit dish clothes but every time I've taken the time to make one, it's been ruined by washing up tomato sauce on it's maiden voyage in the sink. Perhaps I don't know how to wash them properly.... Anyway, yours is lovely. I love that design.

  4. I can relate . . . my knitting mojo was gone nearly all winter but has recently returned.

  5. You've got soap and wood calling your name. Hard to knit with that!
I've lost a little of my knit mojo too. I think it's mostly SSS.

  6. Truthfully, my mojo for everything seems to have disappeared! My son came to visit from Texas the past weekend and we watched college basketball (which I love) all weekend! My other son came and we followed our family traditions of eating Chinese the first day of games and Mexican the next - a little heartburn but it's worth it!

  7. I guess you just need to be outside working with the tree removal debris. Your yarn that you are working with is just beautiful. Love the big blanket and hope it gets completed before you run out of patience with it.

  8. Sometimes that happens. My readumojo has been gone for months. I have a huge backlog of books to read but I’m just not interested right now. I’m just doing what I want to now.
    Blessings,

  10. Wow, that blanket looks big and complicated! Nice work on Willow and the washcloth! Never heard of graupel before; that was interesting! Just today I thought there was still another week in March. Not!
