Look Who's Knitting

It started with washing all last year's scarves and cowls. Handling all my dusty knits made the itch to knit unbearable.

I had to cast on a sock. It's a Hermoine.

Then believe it or not, I got the thumb finished on the Snowfling mitten AND started the lining AND cast on the other mitten. I was on a roll Sunday morning listening to podcasts.

Now about that lining. I almost ripped it out thinking I had picked it up wrong when at the very last minute, just before giving those needles a good yank, I realized the mitten was just turned inside out. I would have been more than upset with myself if I hadn't caught that. Picking up those stitches on the picot cast on edge was a bear. The lining is Knit Picks Capra btw which is Merino and Cashmere. I love it.

  1. I still need to wash all of my hand knits and I better get busy because the forecast is for temps in the 20’s this week for the lows. Brrr. I enjoy knitting the Hermione pattern too. And those mittens! Gorgeous! Sure glad no ripping commenced.
    Blessings,

  8. Those mittens are beautiful and boy howdy will they be warm. The Hermione pattern is a good one. I think you can knit it with any kind of sock yarn - speckled, tonal, solid, striped. It is a classic.
