One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

I got all suited up to get some work done today but ended up disappointed.

We were going to tackle that last wall of tile but....

It seems there was a hitch. There was a slight dip where the drywall met the backer that kept the tiles from being level.

Rip. Out it came. Now we have to shim out that wall and refinish that drywall again to see if we can get it right. Jeesh. The Mister informs me we are not going to make my Easter deadline. This is going nowhere fast.

  1. I can sense a slight frustration in your voice. Ha! Not slight at all is it? I’m so sorry it’s all taking longer than you planned. Maybe elves will come in overnight and fix it for you. :-). This is why I detest remodeling projects. They never go smoothly for us either.

  2. Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize! It will be such a great space once it's finished. We have never tackled tile. It seems so intimidating.

  6. Oh how frustrating. All of the stress inn your life didn't make the rehab any quicker. It is ok. You are doing it correctly!!!

  7. That's just so frustrating! Doing home improvements isn't easy unless you're watching one of those "don't do it this way" television shows!
